The Geraldton Softball Association is gearing up for an action-packed season, and we've got some exciting updates to share as we prepare for a fantastic fun-filled season!

The new season kicks off on Wednesday, October 18th, with a Men's Division 2 doubleheader. What's different this season is that Wednesday nights will feature more games, and it's a change that's been widely welcomed by clubs and players. Midweek games promise extra excitement and convenience for everyone involved.

Your feedback matters, and this year, we're proud to introduce a Women's Division 3 competition. This addition promises to intensify the competition and bring about closer matches in our Women’s competition, making the season all the more riveting.

We're thrilled to welcome Gunduwa, our new club in town. They're stepping onto the diamond with two teams, one competing in Men's Division 2 and the other in Women's Division 3. Their energy and enthusiasm are sure to add a fresh dynamic to the season.

There's more good news for our Men's Division 1 as Batavia Blaze steps up to the plate, bringing the total number of clubs in this division to four for the first time in a long time. This is a remarkable achievement and a testament to the growth of softball in our community.

Our Junior Division continues to expand with six teams ready to hit the diamond. Pi’s has stepped up to the plate and nominated a team, adding strength to our numbers and making the competition even more vibrant.

Behind the scenes, our new board has been hard at work, meeting eight times to ensure a smooth season ahead. We hope you've noticed our fresh approach and increased board presence, all aimed at making your softball experience even better.

This season, we're delighted to have Tarts and Co onboard to manage our canteen. Get ready to enjoy their delectable offerings! Rumour has it, a brand-new coffee machine might soon make its debut, perfect for those chilly evenings or an iced latte on the sun-soaked days.

We're thrilled to share that we've secured a grant from the City of Geraldton to assist with the cost of replacing our back net on Diamond 1. While we're finalising the logistics, rest assured that this project is a priority and will aim to be completed over the next few months.
